Kolkata, Dec. 5 -- The Alipore Meteorological Office has said that dry weather will continue across West Bengal for now, with no rain in the forecast.
The incursion of cold north-westerly winds may cause night temperatures to fall further across southern districts.
Kolkata saw a slight rise in the minimum temperature today. After dropping to 15 degree Celsius on Thursday, the minimum settled at 17 degree Celsius on Friday, about 0.4 degree Celsius above normal. The city's maximum temperature on Thursday stood at 25.7 degree Celsius, which is 2.4 degree Celsius below normal.
The sky over Kolkata is expected to remain mostly clear. Light fog was reported in some areas on Friday morning, but it dissipated as the day advanced.
