Hyderabad, March 14 -- Telangana Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Saturday said the state government has sought additional commercial LPG cylinders from the Centre amid a severe shortage affecting hotels and other commercial establishments.
After reviewing the LPG supply situation with representatives of the Telangana LPG Distributors Association at the Secretariat, Uttam said commercial LPG supplies are currently meeting only about 20 per cent of the demand, raising concerns among major consumers.
He said the state government has written to the Central government highlighting the shortage and seeking immediate allocation of additional commercial cylinders.
