Hyderabad, May 29 -- The Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) has arrested two key accused in an inter-state human organ trafficking case, which operated under the guise of organ donation and transplantation at Alakananda Multi-Specialty Hospital in Kothapet, Saroornagar, Ranga Reddy District.

The case was initially registered at Saroornagar Police Station (Cr. No. 85/2025) following a complaint lodged by the Deputy DM&HO, Ranga Reddy. Charges were filed under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act, 1994. The investigation was later transferred to the CID on April 24, 2025.
