Sangareddy, July 21 -- A second-year architecture student allegedly committed suicide in his hostel room situated on Woxsen University campus here on Monday.
The 19-year-old student Rushikesh Reddy, a resident of Saroornagar (Ranga Reddy Dist) in Hyderabad, took the extreme step by hanging himself in his hostel room, police said here.
The incident came to light when hostel staff found him unresponsive in his room.
Efforts are underway to ascertain the reason behind the suicide, police added.
In a statement, the university authorities said they were 'deeply saddened by the untimely passing' of Gunna Rushikesh Reddy on campus.
