Kothagudem (Telangana), Oct. 15 -- Six Maoists, including a woman, surrendered before the police here on Tuesday. According to District Superintendent police B Rohith Raju, the surrendered Maoists include three party members, two militia members, and one cadre.
Attracted by the Telangana government's surrender and rehabilitation policy along with welfare activities under 'Operation Cheyutha' carried out by the district police in collaboration with CRPF 81 and 141 Battalions, the Maoists decided to join the mainstream.
This takes the tally of Maoist surrenders in the district this year to 326, he said.
