Hyderabad, Sept. 13 -- Singareni Collieries Company Limited is inviting applications from women currently working as General Assistants or Badili Workers to be selected as Operators of heavy machinery in opencast mines.
This initiative is part of C&MD N. Balram's vision to empower women in the mining sector, promote equal opportunities, and ensure efficient utilization of human resources.
Accordingly, on Saturday the Singareni management issued a circular to all mines and departments.
This is the first time in Singareni's history that women are being given the opportunity to work as operators of heavy machinery in opencast mines.
