Hyderabad, March 18 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday announced that a major oil palm processing factory built at Narmetta village in Siddipet constituency with an investment of Rs 300 crore will be inaugurated on March 22 by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat, the Minister extended Ugadi greetings and said the facility marks a significant step for Telangana, which until now lacked its own refinery for oil palm produce. Farmers earlier had to send produce to neighbouring states for processing, incurring higher transport costs.
