Hyderabad, Jan. 6 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Telangana on Tuesday trapped a Tahsildar of Nagireddypet mandal in Kamareddy district while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 for an official favour.

According to an ACB press note, the accused officer, Yarlagadda Srinivas Rao, was caught red-handed when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount from the complainant through a private person, Chinoori Ajay (A-2).

The bribe was allegedly sought to submit a favourable report to higher authorities for transferring agricultural land into the complainant's name from that of his father.
