Hyderabad, Dec. 24 -- An interstate human trafficking gang has been busted and two newborn infants rescued by police in Telengana, official sources said on Wednesday.

Police revealed that one infant was procured from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, through middlemen, while another was procured from Ramanpet, Siddipet District, using local associates. The accused were arrested while attempting to sell the infants in Hyderabad.

Acting on credible information, a joint operation was mounted by the Miyapur Police Station and Special Operations Team (SOT) Shamsabad.
