Hyderabad, April 9 -- Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday trapped a Forest Range Officer (FRO) and a Junior Assistant in Adilabad district for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.

T. Pranay, FRO of Boath Range, and S. Parshuram, Junior Assistant, were caught by the ACB Adilabad Unit at the Forest Range Officer's office in Boath, the ACB said in a release here.

The officials allegedly demanded and accepted the bribe from a complainant for clearing a pending cheque of Rs 5.09 lakh relating to water supplied by the complainant for the Haritha Haram project under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

The bribe amount of Rs 15,000 was recovered from the possession of the Junior Assistant.
