Telangana: Eight Naxals surrender in Mulugu Dist
Mulugu (Telangana), May 31 -- Eight members of the outlawed CPI (Maoists), including a divisional committee member, surrendered before police in the district on Saturday.
The Naxals surrendered before Mulugu District Superintendent of Police Shabarish P, including one divisional committee member (DVCM), two area committee members (ACM) from Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, a police release said here.
With today's surrender, as many as 355 Naxals have surrendered before the Telangana police, including 68 before Mulugu District Police, from January this year.
The Maoists surrendered after knowing about the welfare measures being implemented by the Telangana government and to lead a peaceful life with their family members, the release added.
