Hyderabad, Oct. 27 -- Engineering, PG, and degree colleges across Telangana have announced an indefinite bandh from November 3, demanding immediate clearance of long-pending fee reimbursement dues.
Rajya Sabha MP and National BC Welfare Association President R Krishnaiah wrote a letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, urging him to act swiftly and protect the future of nearly 14 lakh students.
Krishnaiah said students are suffering as colleges withhold certificates over unpaid dues, preventing many from taking up jobs or pursuing higher studies, including opportunities abroad.
He pointed out that lecturers have gone without salaries for months and institutions are unable to pay rent or operational costs.
