Hyderabad, March 17 -- The opposition BRS party has extended its full support to the Congress government's decision to introduce the Backward Classes (BC) Reservation Bill.
Former Minister Harish Rao, speaking in the Telangana Assembly, wholeheartedly welcomed the bill, which grants 42 percent reservation to BCs in education, employment, and local bodies. He expressed optimism that this move would significantly benefit BC communities.
Harish Rao assured that the BRS party would collaborate with the Congress government to push for the bill's approval in Parliament. He urged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, to actively advocate for the bill with the support of his party's 100 MPs.
