Hyderabad, March 29 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday criticised BRS legislators for disrupting Assembly proceedings, asserting that such behaviour undermines the functioning of a democratic forum meant to address people's issues and safeguard the state's future.

Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, he said that during the Congress tenure as opposition MLAs from 2014 to 2023, they never resorted to tearing budget papers or disrupting debates on demands for grants. He termed it inappropriate for BRS members to create a ruckus, especially when key discussions on public welfare were underway.
