Hyderabad, Jan. 29 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday apprehended a Sub-Inspector and a Constable in Telangana while they were accepting a bribe.
According to an ACB statement here on Wednesday, the accused officers, Vukkurthy Suresh (Sub-Inspector) and Constable Nagaraju of the Tirumalagiri Police Station, Suryapet District, allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 3 lakh and accepted payments in installments.
The complainant was asked to pay the amount in exchange for issuing a notice under Section 35 of the BNSS Act to prevent their arrest in connection with Crime No. 12/2025 of the Tirumalagiri Police Station.
