Hyderabad, Feb. 15 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Friday caught District Panchayat Officer Bogam Shyam Sunder and Panchayat Secretary Ketham Praveen Kumar red-handed while accepting Rs 2 lakh bribe.
Bogam Shyam Sunder, District Panchayat Officer, Jogulamba Gadwal District, and Ketham Praveen Kumar Panchayat Secretary, Pulluru Grampanchayat, Jogulamba Gadwal District, had initially demanded Rs 3 lakh (Rs 2 lakh for Sunder and Rs 1 lakh for Kumar).
They accepted Rs 2 lakh (Rs 1.5 lakh for Sunder and Rs 50,000 for KKunar) from the complainant in exchange for an official favour-restoring a dug-up road beside the complainant's venture and setting aside a notice issued by the District Panchayat Office, according to an ACB state...
