Hyderabad, May 26 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Sunday caught a Sub-Inspector of Police (SI) when he was accepting Rs 15000 bribe.
On Sunday at 1415 hours, the Accused Officer (AO-1) KShankar, Sub-Inspector of police, Jagadgirigutta Police Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate, was caught by ACB, City Range Unit-1 when he demanded and accepted Rs 15,000 as bribe from the complainant through AO-2 Nagender of Jagadgiri gutta for showing official favour -- "to release the vehicle and DJ system of the complainant", an ACB statement said on Monday.
The Accused Officer thereby performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly.
