Hyderabad, Jan. 5 -- Telangana Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Monday said the state government is developing Telangana tourism to compete with Kerala, asserting that the sector will reach new heights in the coming days.
Replying to a question by Jukkal MLA Lakshmikanth Rao during Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, the Minister said tourism in Telangana, and even at the national level, had not grown as expected due to the absence of a proper policy in the past.
Responding to supplementary questions from Government Whip Adi Srinivas and MLAs Bhupathi Reddy, Payal Shankar and Mir Zulfiqar Ali, he said the sector was neglected for years.
