Hyderabad, Feb. 3 -- Telangana Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao on Tuesday said a special action plan should be prepared to secure Telangana's due share of funds from the union Budget for the 2026-27 financial year.
He was speaking at a meeting of state government secretaries held at the Secretariat, convened as per the directions of the Chief Minister.
The Chief Secretary said the union Government has proposed an outlay of Rs 5 lakh crore under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and, based on population, Telangana should receive at least Rs 25,000 crore. He asked officials to work in a coordinated and systematic manner to ensure maximum flow of funds to the state from centrally sponsored schemes.
