Hyderabad, Aug. 12 -- Telangana Sports and Youth Services Minister Vakiti Srihari on Tuesday said the state government is prioritising the development of sports infrastructure in rural areas to promote talent at the grassroots level.
During a visit to Makthal, Atmakur, Narva, Utkoor, Amarachinta, and Wanaparthy, the Minister, along with officials, reviewed plans for establishing sports grounds and related facilities.
He said adequate infrastructure at Mandal and constituency headquarters is key to nurturing sports in villages, adding that the government aims to gradually set up sports grounds in all Mandal headquarters lacking such amenities.
