Hyderabad, Dec. 11 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Thursday said Telangana should emerge as a national leader in numismatics and heritage studies, noting that South India's coinage tradition is among the richest in the world.
Speaking at a national seminar on "Coinage and Economy of Southern India" at the Marri Channa Reddy HRD Institute, he said the two-day event should ignite new ideas, foster collaboration among institutions and encourage young researchers to pursue interdisciplinary studies.
He reiterated the State Government's commitment to promoting heritage-based research under Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao's leadership, aiming to make Telangana a hub of cultural and scientific scholarship.
