Hyderabad, July 23 -- Telangana has reached a new milestone in the preservation of its cultural and tribal heritage with the filing of its 27th Geographical Indication (GI) application.

Two traditional art forms from Nalgonda- Banjara Tribal Jewellery and Banjara Needle Craft - have been submitted for GI status by GI practitioner Subhajit Saha, marking a landmark step in recognising the craftsmanship of the Banjara (Lambada) community.
