Hyderabad, Nov. 25 -- The Telangana government has released interest-free loans amounting to Rs 304 crore to Mahila Unnati Telangana Pragathi Mahila Sangams as part of its efforts to strengthen women's financial empowerment across the state.
Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar distributed the latest tranche of interest-free loans to self-help groups across seven mandals of the Husnabad constituency at the Minister's Quarters on Tuesday. A total of Rs 5 crore 66 lakh 16 thousand was disbursed to 5,329 self-help groups.
According to officials, Rs 46 lakh was sanctioned to 445 women's groups in Husnabad mandal, Rs 85 lakh to 754 groups in Akkannapet, Rs 1 crore 18 lakh to 964 groups in Koheda, Rs 86 lakh to 821 groups in Chigu...
