Hyderabad, Jan. 27 -- The Telangana State Election Commission on Tuesday issued a notification for the conduct of the second ordinary elections to seven municipal corporations and 116 municipalities across the state.
Polling will be held on February 11, while the counting of votes is scheduled for February 13.
Addressing a press conference, State Election Commissioner Rani Kumudini announced that the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has come into force with immediate effect.
She said candidates can file nominations from January 28, with the last date for filing nominations being January 30. After scrutiny, the list of valid nominations will be published on January 31.
