Hyderabad, Sept. 20 -- Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu today strongly condemned US President Donald Trump's decision to increase H1B visa charges, terming it a major setback for Telangana's youth, Indian IT companies, and small businesses.

In a statement from the Secretariat, the Minister said the move would cause "serious damage" to thousands of professionals from Telangana working in the United States, as well as their families who depend on remittances.

"If the US rule mandates a payment of 1 lakh dollars, it will be a huge loss for Indian companies operating in America," he warned.
