Hyderabad, Aug. 6 -- Telangana paid rich tributes to Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar, the ideologue of the Telangana movement and regarded as the "Father of Telangana", on his birth anniversary on Wednesday.
Telangana State Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar and Legislative Secretary Dr V. Narasimha Charyulu offered floral tributes to his portrait at the Assembly premises.
Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said Acharya Jayashankar dedicated his entire life to the cause of a separate Telangana state.
