Hyderabad, Jan. 2 -- Telangana Jagruti President and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday met Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy and requested him to accept her resignation from the Council.
During the meeting, Kavitha, the daughter of BRS supremo K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), also sought an opportunity to explain the reasons behind her resignation on the floor of the House before it is formally accepted.
The Chairman informed her that she would be given an opportunity to speak in the Council on either January 5 or January 6.
Later, speaking at the Council media point, Kavitha confirmed that she would address the House on January 5.
