Hyderabad, May 26 -- Providing accident insurance coverage of over Rs 1 crore to electricity workers marks a historic milestone in the country, said Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu.
Speaking on Monday morning at Praja Bhavan, the Deputy CM addressed the gathering during a ceremony in which a cheque for Rs 1 crore was handed over as accident insurance to the family of Jogun Naresh, an electricity department worker who lost his life in a duty-related accident under NPDCL.
A compassionate appointment letter was also presented to his wife for a position in the Electricity Department.
