Hyderabad, Aug. 20 -- Telangana's first-ever state-level women police conference began on a grand note at the Raj Bahadur Venkatram Reddy Telangana Police Academy in Rajendranagar on Wednesday.

Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) inaugurated the three-day event by lighting the lamp and receiving a ceremonial salute from women police personnel.

Director General Officers Abhilasha Bisht, Charu Sinha, Shikha Goel, Swati Lakra and around 400 women police officers, from constable to SP rank, are attending the conference to deliberate on challenges faced by women in policing, their experiences, and infrastructural needs.
