Hyderabad, Jan. 2 -- The Telangana Government has sufficient urea reserves and is fully prepared to meet farmers' requirements during the current Rabi season, Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao told the Legislative Council on Friday.

Replying to questions during the Question Hour, the Minister said that 4.04 lakh metric tonnes of urea were supplied to farmers from October to December 31 in the ongoing 2025-26 Rabi season, the highest sale recorded in the last eight years. Against the Centre's allocation of 5.60 lakh metric tonnes for the season up to December, the state has already procured 5.78 lakh metric tonnes, ensuring adequate availability.
