Hyderabad, Jan. 4 -- Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Saturday visited the indigenously built advanced stealth frigate INS Himgiri and a Kalvari-class submarine at Visakhapatnam, commending the Indian Navy's growing indigenous capabilities and the high state of operational readiness of the Eastern Naval Command.
The visit underscored the strengthening synergy between state leadership and the nation's maritime defence forces, while offering a close look at the cutting edge of India's naval engineering and combat preparedness, a defence statement said on Sunday.
