Hyderabad, Feb. 25 -- Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma extended his special greetings and wishes to the people of Telangana on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri festival on Wednesday.
In a message on Tuesday, Varma said "Mahashivratri, the night of wakefulness signifies as the Night
of Awakening".
It is one of the most important festivals for the millions of devotees of the most compassionate god "Lord Shiva", he said.
The Mahashivratri, commemorates overcoming darkness and ignorance in life and the world. Lord Shiva will bestow happiness and prosperity on those who worship him on this day, the Governor said.
