Hyderabad, Oct. 18 -- The Telangana government has come to the aid of 12 workers from the state who are reportedly facing hardships in Jordan.

Following a video appeal released by the workers, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed the General Administration Department's NRI Wing to take immediate action.

On the CM's orders, the GAD (NRI) Department has written to the Indian Embassy in Jordan and the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, seeking urgent assistance.

The issue has also been registered on the 'Madad' portal for official monitoring. IAS officers Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi and C H Shiva Lingaiah are personally overseeing the developments.
