Hyderabad, Sept. 8 -- The Telangana government has expanded urea distribution centres to ensure smooth supply to farmers, following directions from Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao.
At present, nearly 12,000 government and private centres are supplying urea. However, with most farmers preferring government outlets, heavy congestion was reported at several locations.
To address this, the Agriculture Department has initiated urea distribution through 500 farmer platforms across the state.
Agriculture Director B Gopi said the process began this morning in multiple districts. He said he was closely monitoring the situation from the department office under the minister's guidance.
