Hyderabad, Jan. 1 -- Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Wednesday said the State government has taken strong administrative and legal steps to safeguard Telangana's irrigation interests in the ongoing inter-state dispute over Andhra Pradesh's proposed diversion of Godavari waters linked to the Polavaram project.
In a detailed statement, the Minister referred to Andhra Pradesh's initial Polavaram-Banakacherla Link Project (PBLP), later renamed the Polavaram-Nallamala Sagar Link Project (PNLP), which aims to divert up to 200 TMC of Godavari floodwaters.
