Hyderabad, Aug. 30 -- Urdu Academy Chairman Taher Bin Hamdan announced that the state government has agreed to provide 100 computers to Urdu journalists through the Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department, headed by Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural session of the Urdu Journalists' Refresher Classes, organised by the Telangana Media Academy in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Hamdan said that the training classes are particularly useful for Urdu journalists under the guidance of Media Academy Chairman K Srinivas Reddy. He assured that he would extend all possible support to Urdu journalists in the state through the Urdu Academy.
