Hyderabad, Sept. 20 -- Former MP and Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha today said the Congress leadership should have Sonia Gandhi call Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and get him to stop raising the Almatti dam height.
Kavitha, who recently resigned from the BRS, said the Karnataka government is preparing to acquire 1.30 lakh acres to riase the Almatti dam's height by 5 meters to store an additional 100 TMC of water.
If that happens, the people in Telangana might as well go there to play cricket - that's how little will be left, she pointed out, adding that the Maharashtra government has objected to Karnataka's decision to raise Almatti's height and its Chief minister made it clear that two districts in Maharashtra will be flooded.
