Hyderabad, Aug. 20 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has urged the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers J P Nadda to ensure immediate supply of the 50,000 metric tonnes of urea announced for the state this week, citing the urgent needs of farmers during
the ongoing Kharif season.
The Minister said that the Centre responded to the concerns of Telangana Congress MPs, who staged a protest in Parliament over the shortage of urea.
Following the protest, the Union Ministry directed Coromandel International Limited to supply 50,000 metric tonnes of urea, with the first consignment of 10,800 metric tonnes already dispatched from Karnataka. Orders have been issued for three more shipments to be delivered within this ...
