Hyderabad, July 21 -- The Telangana government has sanctioned social security pensions for 681 new dialysis patients, further strengthening its welfare commitment to those battling chronic health conditions.

Panchayat Raj, Women and Child Welfare Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya Seethakka signed the sanction file, approving the latest round of pensions under the state's social security scheme.

Before the present "people's government" came to power, 4,011 dialysis patients were receiving social pensions. Since then, 4,029 patients have been granted pensions. With the latest addition of 681 beneficiaries, the total number of dialysis patients supported through pensions in the state now exceeds 4,710.
