Hyderabad, Sept. 22 -- The Telangana Government has approved the continuation of 1,392 posts in the Scheduled Castes Development Department for one year, from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.

The move, described as a key welfare initiative by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's government, will strengthen staffing in hostels, pre-matric and post-matric residential facilities, special courts and district offices, directly benefiting SC students across the State.

SC, ST and Minorities Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar said the decision would address staff shortages in welfare hostels, ensuring better residential care, nutritious food and improved academic support.
