Hyderabad, Dec. 30 -- After restructuring the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GMC), the Telangana government on Monday evening decided to reorganise the police system into four commissionerates by integrating it with the restructured GHMC and the Future City.
The Government has issued orders in this regard and has also issued orders appointing Police Commissioners for the four commissionerates and an SP for the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
To provide better services to the public, ensure maintenance of law and order, and strengthen crime control, the Government has decided to divide the police system into four commissionerates.
