Hyderabad, Aug. 21 -- Telangana Panchayat Raj Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, along with Tribal Welfare Minister Adluru Laxman Kumar, announced that the Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara-the largest tribal festival in Asia-will be held from January 28 to 31, 2025.
Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat on Thursday, she said the state government has sanctioned Rs 150 crore for the smooth conduct of the biennial jatara.
She explained that advance works have already begun, including laying of a double road with dividers from Jampanna Vagu to the jatara village and setting up a memorial forest on 29 acres of endowment department land.
