Hyderabad, Sept. 9 -- Telangana Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao today directed officials to draft a comprehensive Employees Health Scheme (EHS) for state government employees and pensioners.

The review meeting at the Dr B R Ambedkar Secretariat was held on the instructions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

The Chief Secretary asked senior IAS officers to examine health insurance policies offered to government employees in other states and prepare a detailed report at the earliest.

Officials noted that employees were willing to contribute from their salaries for the scheme, provided a cashless health treatment facility is extended to them and their families. The proposed EHS is expected to cover 7,14,322 employees and pensioners, with ...
