Hyderabad, Nov. 11 -- The National Education Day and Minorities Welfare Day were observed on Tuesday at Ravindra Bharathi, commemorating Bharat Ratna Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India and a key figure in the freedom movement.
The programme was organised by the Department of Minorities Welfare, Government of Telangana.
In his chief guest address, Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Minister Mohammed Azharuddin paid rich tributes to Maulana Azad, noting his unwavering commitment to education and national progress.
