Hyderabad, March 18 -- The Telangana Government has announced the Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji State Awards for Excellence in Handloom Weaving and Designing for the year 2025.
These prestigious awards will be presented on National Handloom Day, scheduled for August 7, 2025.
The government has invited applications from eligible candidates to recognize outstanding contributions in handloom weaving and designing.
Weavers applying for the award must be above 30 years of age as of December 31, 2024, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in handloom weaving. Meanwhile, designers must be above 25 years of age as of the same date, with at least 5 years of experience in designing.
