Hyderabad, Nov. 13 -- The Telangana government has formulated a comprehensive action plan to tighten enforcement in the state's transport sector and take strict action against vehicles violating road safety norms.

The initiative aims to reduce road accidents through continuous monitoring and swift penalties against violators.

State Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar held a review meeting with senior Transport Department officials at the Secretariat, where he directed that enforcement operations be intensified across all districts. He announced the formation of 33 district-level enforcement teams and three state-level flying squads to conduct daily surprise inspections.
