Hyderabad, July 18 -- The Telangana Government has extended the Indira Mahila Shakti (IMS) celebrations across the state till July 24, following requests from MLAs and district women's federations.
The extension aims to ensure that all constituencies can actively participate in the vibrant celebrations, which have become a showcase of women's empowerment.
Officials said that due to the busy schedules of ministers, the festivities could not be completed in several constituencies. With the extended timeline, local MLAs and ministers will organise special events to distribute interest waiver cheques, accident and loan insurance benefits, support for new women-led businesses, and RTC rental buses operated by women's groups.
