Hyderabad, Aug. 22 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Friday assured that the state government is fully committed to the welfare of women police personnel and will implement the recommendations made at the three-day women police conference, which concluded at the Police Academy.
Speaking at the farewell session of a three-day state-level women police conference held at the Raj Bahadur Venkatram Reddy Telangana Police Academy in Rajendranagar, the Deputy CM endorsed the proposal to remove the word "woman" from the designation of women police, stressing that there should be no discrimination in duties since recruitment is conducted without gender bias.
