Hyderabad, Jan. 2 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Friday said the State Government is firmly committed to employee welfare and is taking concrete steps to correct the derailed financial system, with all pending employee-related bills being cleared on priority.
Replying in detail to questions raised by members, including AVN Reddy, in the Legislative Council, Bhatti Vikramarka said the government had taken a conscious policy decision to ensure that salaries are credited on the first of every month.
He recalled that under the previous government, salaries were often delayed till the middle of the month, causing employees to be branded as defaulters by banks due to missed EMI payments.
