Hyderabad, Jan. 14 -- Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy extended warm greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Bhogi (Wednesday) and Sankranti (Thursday) festivals.
In his message, the Governor conveyed his heartiest wishes to all residents of Telangana, describing Bhogi and Sankranti as timeless harvest festivals that symbolise abundance, renewal and joy. He said Bhogi marks new beginnings with vibrant bonfires that signify letting go of the old and welcoming prosperity.
He noted that Sankranti is celebrated with colourful kite-flying, Kolatam dances and community feasts featuring freshly harvested paddy, sugarcane and traditional sesame sweets, reflecting the State's agrarian culture. ...
